Christina Milian was born Christina Flores on September 26, 1981 in
Jersey City, New Jersey. Her Cuban roots added to her intense
ambitions, and at a young age, she first performed the lead role in the
musical, "Annie." At age thirteen, Christina moved to Los Angeles along
with her mother so that she could enhance her acting career in the right
environment. She soon acquired guest-appearances on television shows,
including "Charmed," "Clueless!", and "Sister Sister." She also did a
voice over for the Disney film, "A Bug's Life." It wasn't until she was
nineteen that she made her singing debut on a Ja Rule track, "Between
You and Me," which became a number 1 hit.
One year later, in 2001, Christina's self-titled debut album was
released in Europe. Due to contract conflicts it wasn't released in
North America. From the album, she scored three number 1# hits and
became a sensation in Japan. In 2004, her album "It's About Time" was
released in North America, which included the single "Dip It Low."
Christina has also appeared in movies, with a small part in "American
Pie," that has led to more significant roles including the starring role
in "Love Don't Cost a Thing" and "Torque."
