Angeles, California. As a youngster, Kate was a champion equestrian.
Hearing about a casting call for a film about horses, she went to the
audition as a personal challenge, and surprised herself along with her
family with a role in Robert Redford's "Horse Whisperer," appearing along
with the young
sensation
Scarlett Johansson. Having
previously acted only in community theatre and performing as a singer at
county fairs, Kate headed into the fast track of acting, shoring up her
skills before taking the big plunge, and later appeared in "Remember the
Titans" alongside Denzel Washington, and the television series, "Young
Americans."
Kate Bosworth's natural blonde beauty has opened doors to acting
opportunities. In 2002, she starred in "Blue Crush," a surfing movie
