Keira Knightley was born on March 22, 1985 in Teddington, England, the
daughter of an actor father and a screenwriter mother. Keira wanted to
act from an early age and was only six years old when she acquired an
agent and was soon appearing in British movies. When she was only
fourteen years old, Keira was cast by George Lucas to play in Star Wars
as the decoy Queen Amidala.
Keira has also appeared in such well-known movies as Bend It Like
Beckham and Pirates of the Caribbean alongside Johnny Depp. She
appeared in the epic "King Arthur" in the role of Guinevere. According
to Keira, who is still quite skinny and prefers to stay in London:
"There's a lot of pressure to fit in as far as weight goes. I don't
think that's particularly healthy."
