Penelope Ann Miller was born in 1964, the daughter of actor Mark Miller
who played in television's "Please Don't Eat the Daisies." An actress
of great depth and range, she has played every conceivable role, and in
a vast range of arenas from comedy to drama to action. She began her
career on Broadway in "Biloxi Blues," in a role that she eventually
reprised for the big screen.
Penelope's most famous role was "Adventures in Babysitting," where she
played an un-cool teenager who runs away from home and winds up having
the strangest adventures imaginable. She has also appeared in
"Kindergarten Cop" and "Awakenings" with Robert Di Nero. In "Carlito's
Way," she played the girlfriend to Al Pacino, for which she won a Golden
Globe nomination.
In the horror film, "The Relic," Penelope Ann Miller
was cast as a biologist who must contend with a mysterious attacker. On
television she was cast as Mary Kay Letourneau in "The Mary Kay
Letourneau Story: All-American Girl." Penelope also appeared in
"Chaplin," as a silent movie star.
